Dear Readers, please be forewarned. Today’s entry is going to be boring. It’s another ‘my website’ talk. You can skip this if you like — or just comment about anything. :D
Now that you’re warned …
1SF .. 4SB = 1 step forward .. 4 steps back
Ever since the new “MT”:http://www.movabletype.org %(rem)v3.11 — this one supports dynamic web site generation via “PHP”:http://www.php.net % came out, I tried to convert my TBOX. Things are not as easy as I thought. I’ve done too many custom bits and pieces and those b&p made it quite difficult to migrate.
Another problem caused by my ISP, who seems to be rather too generous with “cache” (proxy-related thingie). Most of the time I wouldn’t see any changes I made until later in the day. %(me)Normally, changes supposed to show up immediately. Or no more than a couple of minutes, the worst.% So I’ll see bugs and error messages way after you guys. So embarassing. :’(
Anyway, TBOX is back to static mode for now. And I think it’ll stay this way for a while — at least until I can find a better way to migrate to the new thing.
I love challenge, don’t you?
P.S. For those of you who haven’t heard the news, “Firefox”:http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ is now “1.0PR”:http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/download.html?http%3A//ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/0.10/Firefox%20Setup%201.0PR.exe .
%(me)N~Noiz, sorry I’ve to remove your comment posted in the previous entry. I had to restore the data from the backup file made last night. Anyway, you’ve caught the bug before me. :P%
